What I'm wearing on REPEAT (are you really surprised?)
REPEAT, REPEAT, REPEAT
It probably comes as no surprise that the item I'm wearing on repeat are my Saint Laurent Candy platform boots. At first I was hesitant on buying them considering the 5" heel height and they're so different from what I normally buy, but I was so crazy in love with them straight away! Michael, Diana and my mum where all against them. Geoff said "what are you wearing?", when he first saw me with them. Not in a mean way, just in a confused, "you never wear anything like that", kinda way. But that's where that whole "buy what you love thing" comes to play because I seriously can't stop wearing this shoe! I wore them on my 24 hour trip to NYC and they are seriously so comfortable! You guys know that my style is pretty laid back and having a statement shoe like this just elevates my look. So there you go, seriously no regrets when you buy what you love.

WHAT I'M WEARING: Tristan polka dot blouse. Rag & Bone jeans. Saint Laurent platform boots and cross body bag. Kate Cate fringe strap. Ray Ban aviators.
BUY WHAT YOU LOVE
When it comes to shopping my approach is always buy what you love. Seriously, how many times have you already heard me say this already? With the growth of social media, fashion enthusiasts are flying around like drones looking for that next trend - Chanel boy bags anyone? How about those embellished Gucci sneakers? And let's not forget about the Gucci belt that everyone and their mother seems to be wearing. If you ask me what starts to happen is that these special luxury items actually start to loose their appeal. #noshade I'm more inclined to go for pieces that I consider special because they reflect my personality. I also prefer to wear something that doesn't have overexposure on social media because I know that I'll eventually tire of looking at the same thing over and over again. For example, the Gucci loafers that were all over Instagram last year was SS16's most featured shoe. I for one am guilty of having not one, but two fucking pairs, but you know what, I went for the colours that spoke to me - vibrant gold and metallic hot pink. I know that even when this whole Gucci loafer trend dies down that I'm still going to be rocking my loafers because I love them.
Side note: my hair is all sorts of brassy in this post. Get me some purple shampoo & toner asap!

HOW TO DYE YOUR HAIR AT HOME
As you guys know, I've teamed up with L'OrΓ©al Paris recently for their Feria Rebel Chic hair dye. While in Montreal last month, I filmed a little How To video with them. I hope you guys enjoy it!

MY L'ORΓAL PARIS COMMERCIAL
My commercial is finally here!!!!!! Remember when I flew out to Montreal two weeks ago to hang out with L'OrΓ©al Paris in their loft-? Well this is what I was working on, transforming my brown hair into burgundy Feria Rebel Chic laden locks!
I had so much fun working on this and I'm thrilled I can finally share it with you guys! Actually the first time I saw it I was in a meeting and my heart skipped a beat! Note to self, don't open awesome emails in the middle of meetings!
I typically don't get overly excited about a project until I've signed on the dotted lines because I'm realist. I haven't seen much fall through the cracks but still, I'd hate to get my hopes up and not have a project. So when L'OrΓ©al Paris first started talking about this project I thought "holy shit that sounds amazing"! I knew it was for Feria's new Rebel Chic hair colour and I knew that it was be a two part project but I had no idea that they would be surprising me with a trip to the Grammys this weekend. From there everything took place quickly, and next thing I knew I was flying out to Montreal for my transformation. Fast forward to present time, I'm sitting on the couch of the Mondrian Hotel in West Hollywood getting ready to work more exciting content for you guys.
It's my first time in LA and I'm so happy to be here with the L'OrΓ©al team. I'll keep you guys posted on everything happening along the way. I've also partnered with some of my favourite brands to bring you guys street style posts from location. Stay tuned.

Montreal: L'OrΓ©al Paris Loft
I've been hustling non-stop on WoahStyle since I started it less than two years ago. I do this because I love fashion, I love beauty and, I love showing you guys different looks and how to wear things. I'm happy and grateful for every opportunity that has come my way but I've never felt overjoyed with emotion, to the point of tears (seriously, tears!) until the L'OrΓ©al Paris team told me that I'd be going to the Grammys alongside fellow blogger Alanna of Xander Vintage.
I was on camera answering questions about my new hair and personal style and next thing I know, they're handing me an envelope that read "Surprise, You're Going to the Grammys". I lost it right there and teared up like a nerd in front of the cameras! I could only think of all of the late nights, working on the weekends, working while on holiday and working on WoahStyle as I've been juggling a day job the whole time. The mad hustle has finally led me to this very spot in my blogging career where I feel like I can finally take a deep breath and enjoy it all!
Because Montreal was such a special trip, I wanted to share some behind the scenes footage with you guys from the stunning L'OrΓ©al loft. Honestly, if I lived here, I'd probably shoot every style post from my home! Every inch of this place was immaculate and shooting my video here was amazing. I'll be sure to post the link once it's ready so stay tuned dear friends.

Old Montreal Travel Diary
Youβll have to excuse my lateness on getting the rest of my Montreal travel diary up. To be completely honest, I threw off my entire blogging schedule while on holiday and itβs been tough to get back to the routine. Here we go!
HOTEL
My hubby and I stayed at the Le Place dβArmes HΓ΄tel & Suites in Old Montreal knowing that was the part of the city we were interested in. The location was superb, right across the street from the Notre-Dame Basilica and within walking distance of some of the best restaurants, cafe's, art galleries and shops - including Ssense and Rooney.
Our room was equipped with a posh bathroom and one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in. I usually have a hard time sleeping when I'm not in my own bed but I clunked right out during my stay.
The hotel itself was very clean with friendly staff. Two restaurant bars are located in the hotel, Suite 701 Lounge and Kyo Bar Japonais, but we never got around to visiting either because we were too busy exploring the city. The only annoying part of our stay with Le Place dβArmes was the street construction that had us circling the area in our car in absolute frustration trying to drive up to the hotel. Between the countless one way streets and closed roads, we were on the brink of heading back to Toronto. Their website hadn't mentioned street construction and in my opinion, it's their responsibility to notify their patrons of such things online.
EAT
Pretty much every restaurant I've ever eaten at in Montreal has been amazing, so this visit we felt pretty comfortable with whatever crossed our paths.
MAISON CHRISTIAN FAURE
We headed out to brunch at the much hyped about Olive et Gourmando, just a 5 min walk from our hotel. Much to our dismay the restaurant was closed (Sundays and Mondays) so we walked around the streets in a hungry daze before something caught our eye. We turned onto Place Royale and there it was, Maison Christian Faure, the patisserie I had just been reading about the night before!
At $18/ pp, we enjoyed a brunch that included a latte, pastry, eggs Benedict (or in my case, steamed veggies), fruit salad, and french toast with caramel. It was divine and just uploading these pictures is making me relive one of our fondest food moments on our holiday. Even the decor was as delicious as the food! Yup. I just said that.
LE CARTET
From French posh to Montreal hipster, we brunched at Le Cartet the following day. The vibe was laid back but still put together and I wished so badly that I was a freelance blogger living in Quebec at that moment because Le Cartet would be my makeshift office. Heaven!
Geoff enjoyed a dish of beans, eggs and various meats served on a cast iron skillet while I had the fruit crepe platter served with a side of yogurt and granola (which went to Geoff since I avoid dairy when possible). The food was filling and oh so good and if you're ever there, the freshly squeezed orange juice is a must have!
SHOP
After brunch we headed off to Rooney, a clothing boutique just 10 mins from our hotel. From the most amazing clothes to shoes, accessories, apothecary, magazines and books for both men and women, Rooney is an absolute must visit if you're in the area. I swore to myself (and Geoff!) that I would't be shopping in Montreal but I broke that promise when I saw the most amazing suede leather jacket in the window display.
We had the pleasure of meeting the owners while we visited and they were so friendly and passionate about clothes that I know I'll have to stop by and say hi (aka shop!) on my next visit to Montreal. They currently only have their men's collection on rooneyshop.com, but the women's category is coming soon so stay tuned.
